“Coffee Ring” Fabrication and Its Application in Aflatoxin Detection Based on SERS

The fabrication of a coffee ring was studied in this work to improve its sensitivity detecting trace analytes based on surface-enhanced Raman scattering (SERS). Gold nanoparticles were synthesized with diameters ~40 nm through the sodium citrate reduction method, and rhodamine 6G (R6G) employed as probe evaluate performance fabricated rings. results showed that formed from water-washed gold presented more orderly regular morphology well better SERS properties than unwashed ones. Furthermore, both concentration amount found affect performance. Using optimized substrate, R6G 5 × 10−8 M detected. This sensing platform could realize aflatoxin B1 (AFB1) detection down 10−7 demonstrated function real-sample testing.
